Barely North Entertainment presents:
Juno nominated singer/songwriter Scotty Hills will be playing in one of the Cowichan Valley’s best sounding rooms—the Providence Farm Chapel.
Scotty will be playing songs from his new album Nature Girl, which is intertwined with influences of progressive folk, soul and Motown, country, and minimalist pop. It was mixed by Diego Medina (Joel Plasket/Hey Rosetta/David Myles) and Mastered by 4 time Grammy winner Tom Coyne (D’Angelo/Adele/Amy Winehouse/Beyonce). The self produced album is Scotty’s most soulful and sophisticated work to date, including lush string arrangements, lyrical painting and soaring dynamics that glue his genre centric tendencies, into the development of a unified sound from start to finish.
He has worked with such artists as Hubert Sumlin, Tegan and Sarah, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Jill and Mathew Barber, Jon and Roy, The Sadies, Wide Mouth Mason, Downchild Blues Band, North Mississippi Allstars, and Jordan Cook (Reign Wolf).
This is a show not to be missed!
Doors open at 7:00pm and show starts at 7:30pm
Tickets are $20 (kids 14 and under are free) and available at Duncan Music, Providence Farm, and online at <www.eventbrite.ca>
